Important!

7.Press TRUNK for 2 seconds.

A tone sounds, and E, M, or L icon appears on the display according to the system selected.

Note: • To clear a mistake while entering the frequency,

press (decimal key) repeatedly until the display is cleared.

• If you enter a frequency which is out of the system’s trunking range, a distinctive beep sounds and ERROR appears on the display.

Repeat Step 7 for every trunk frequency entered.

Selecting Trunking Programming Menu Mode

To change the system type which your scanner monitors, you must be in the Trunking Programming menu mode.

To select this mode, follow these steps:

1.Press MENU.

2.Press or to select TRUNK DATA and then press E.

3.Select the bank you want to program using , or VFO and then press E.

Remember! You can also use the VFO control for scrolling. Also instead of pressing E, you can press the VFO/SELECT control or press the SELECT/MUTE key.

Selecting Trunking System Type

1. Select TRUNK TYPE using , or VFO and then press E, SELECT or VFO.

2. Select the system type you want to program using , or VFO and then press E, SELECT or VFO.
