Hue

Sets the hue or phase of the image.

(Input signal)

+ side (0 to +50)

: Shifts the hue towards blue coloration.

- side (-50 to 0)

: Shifts the hue towards red coloration.

Saturation

Adjusts the degree to which color depth is expressed in the image.

+ side (+100 to + 150)

: The unit projects colors with greater depth.

- side (+50 to +100)

: The unit projects colors with less depth.

Sharpness Gain

Adjusts the clearness of the image edges.

(Input signal)

Increase this figure to render a sharper image or reduce it to give a softer image with less

image noise.

Sharpness Type

Changes the characteristics of the filter used for “Sharpness Gain”

When setting the [Sharpness Gain] parameter to render a relatively strong image (closer to

 

20), increase this figure to enhance clearness of the image or reduce this figure to enhance

 

softness of the image.

 

You cannot adjust this parameter if [Sharpness Gain] is set to [0].

Color Adjustment

Adjusts color balance.

There are three menus, [Standard], [WRGB], and [WRGBYCM], separated in order of complexity from simple to detailed. By the default setting, the DPX-1300 automatically selects BT709 (RGB color coordinate for High-Definition Television) for HDTV (High- Definition Television) or PC video input and BT601 (RGB color coordinate for Standard Television) for SDTV (Standard Television) input. Refer to page 42 for parameter operation methods.

The present color temperature setting is displayed to the right of the menu items.

Adjusts color temperature.

Adjusts the level of white in colors between red and blue, and between green and magenta. Increase the color temperature to increase the amount of blue in an image, giving bright color tones. Reduce the color temperature to increase the amount of red, giving a darker, more relaxed atmosphere to the image.

Increasing the hUV setting increases the amount of green in the image. Decreasing this setting increases the amount of magenta.
