Using your DF450

Storing one-touch and Quickdial numbers and names

To store one-touch numbers and names

You can store a fax number, phone number and a name under each of the 10 One-Touch buttons. Each number can be up to 38 digits long and each name up to16 characters long.

To enter a fax number

START FUNCTION

Press the FUNCTION button, display shows FAX SET-UP.

Press the START button.

Press the FUNCTION button until the display shows ONE TOUCH DIAL.

Press the START button and then the (1-10) button under which you want to store the number/name; the display shows FAX NO: START/STOP/< >.

Press the START button.

Dial the fax number you want.

Press the START button to confirm the setting.

If you make a mistake when keying in a number, you can delete it by pressing the CLEAR button.

If you are connected to a switchboard, you may also need to store a pause or PBX access code using the EXTERNAL/PAUSE button, see page 31, Connecting to a switchboard.

After confirming the number, the display shows SPEED. This is already set to the fastest possible transmission speed and you will not normally need to adjust it. Press the START button, display shows OVERSEAS.

If you have entered an overseas number, press the ◀ ♣ buttons to select ON from the display as this ensures clearer transmission.

Press the START button to confirm setting; the display shows: NAME

You can now key in the name of the person or company whose number you have just entered.
