NDIS Drivers
If you have installed NDIS drivers (for running Microsoft® LAN Manager or IBM® LAN Server, for example), you must change the SLOT line in the PROTOCOL.INI file. The file is located on the startup diskette or the hard drive. The 3C59X EtherDisk diskette contains a sample PROTOCOL.INI file in the directory NDIS\DOS.
To install a second adapter in Windows NT, do not change the PROTOCOL.INI file. Instead, repeat the procedure used to install the first adapter.
The 3C59X EtherDisk diskette can be used as an OEM import diskette for Windows for Workgroups and Windows NT. The path to the OEM files should point to \NDIS\WFW or \NDIS\WINNT35, respectively.
The NDIS drivers are as follows: |
|
NDIS 2.0x | EL59X.DOS |
| EL59X.OS2 |
NDIS 3.0x |
|
Windows for Workgroups | EL59X.386 |
Windows NT, version 3.5 | EL59X.SYS |
Windows 95 | EL59X.VXD |
