Loss

Use this function to measure loss from the far end to the near end using a tone between 200 Hertz and 20k Hz. You must use a separate instrument to generate the tone at the far end.

Press the [Tab] key to go to Noise. Press the [Left Arrow] key to go to Longitudinal Balance. Press [Enter] to return to the dB menu. Press [Up] and [Down] to adjust the speaker volume. Use the Blue keys to send DTMF tones.

Noise

Use this function to measure the Noise, Power Influence and calculated Balance of the pair and ground. Connect the Red and Black test leads to the pair, and the Green lead to ground.

Press the [Tab] key to go to Longitudinal Balance. Press the [Left Arrow] key to go to Loss. See Loss above for other control keys.
