Changes from PDK-50HW2A to PDK-50HW3

Scan device changes

a) The Pioneer badge need no longer be removed during installation.

In this manual, the frame of the handwriting device that houses the sensor is referred to as a scan device.

b)Instead of a 3 m RS-232C cable, a 1.4 m hard-wired USB cable is supplied.

1.The cable exit has been modified. ] See page 10.

An RS-232C connector is no longer provided.

The absence of connectors on the rear panel makes it possible to use fittings for installation on sloping surfaces.

2.Power is supplied through USB bus power.

The scan device is not provided with a power switch or a DC connector.

An AC adapter and a power cable are not provided.

Power consumption has been reduced from 6 V, 1 A to 5 V, 0.5 A (max.).

1.The front panel has a rounded appearance while the side panels have a two-tone finish in silver and black.

The vertical and horizontal dimensions are the same.

The silver finish is somewhat brighter than in the previous model.
