B.E.S.T. Picture System

Turn on the TV and select the VCR channel 3 or 4 (or AV mode).

The B.E.S.T. (Biconditional Equalized Signal Tracking) checks the condition of the tape during recording and playback, and compensates for poor reproduction to provide the best quality recording and playback pictures. *The default setting is "ON".

Preparation

1		TURN ON THE VCR
	Press POWER.
		ACCESS MAIN MENU
2		SCREEN
	Press MENU.
		ACCESS FUNCTION SET
3		SCREEN
	Press CH5° or %Þ to			MAIN MENU
		move the highlight bar
				=FUNCTION SET
		(arrow) to “FUNCTION
				TUNER SET
		SET”, then press OK or%.		INITIAL SET
				PRESS (5,°), THEN (OK)
				PRESS (MENU) TO END
4		SELECT B.E.S.T. MODE
		Press CH5° or %Þ to		FUNCTION
		move the highlight bar
		(arrow) to "B.E.S.T.", then	=AUTO TIMER		OFF
				SUPERIMPOSE	ON
		press OK or%to set to		AUTO SP=EP TIMER	OFF
		"ON" or "OFF".
				VIDEO STABILIZER	OFF
		NOTE:		NEXT PAGE
				SELECT WITH (5,°) AND (OK)
		When recording or when		PRESS (MENU) TO END
		playing back tapes
		recorded on this VCR set
		the B.E.S.T. to "ON".
