9 Operation in conjunction with a rotating antenna (DiSEqC 1.2)

Your digital receiver is equipped for operation in conjunction with a rotating antenna installation. The DiSEqC control func- tion (DiSEqC-Level 1.2) allows you to control a suitable motor via the coaxial cable connection.

>Call up the menu Antenna Settings as described in Point 6.4 (Fig. 9-1)and set the DiSEqC Control (Point 6.4.1) to On.

>Now use the arrow keys up/down to select the DiSEqC position (e.g. A/B 3) to which you wish to allocate the motorized rotating antenna.

>Press OK to display a selection window for the

Satellite resp. for the Motor antenna. (Fig. 9-2)

>Use the arrow keys up/down to mark the line Motor antenna and confirm by pressing OK.

>Read the note on setting Eastern and Western limits (Fig. 9-3)and confirm by pressing OK.

9.1 Eastern and Western limits

To avoid mechanical damage to the dish antenna or the LNC by obstacles in its path, the maximum rotating range in both easterly and westerly direction must be set. If there are any obstacles (e.g. a wall, chimney, etc.) within the rotating radius of the antenna, this must be considered when setting the rotating limits. If there are no obstacles to consider, you should set the limits so that they extend a little beyond the positions of the most easterly and westerly satellite positions you wish to receive.

9.1.1 Deleting existing limits

At the outset, you should delete any existing limit settings.

>Use the arrow keys right/left to mark the column

Configuration.

>In the line Motor antenna use the arrow keys up/down to mark the field Proceed.

>Confirm by pressing OK.

The menu relating to settings for the motor antenna will be displayed. (Fig. 9-4)
