How to Set the Ratings, con’t

Password

The Password of 0000 used in the previous Rating Level example or any other previously entered password may be changed at any time. To change the current password per- form the following steps:

1.Press the SETUP Push-button on the supplied Remote Control to access the On-Screen Disc Setup Menu.

Then press the Right directional Push-button to se- lect the Ratings Setup Menu Icon Tab. Refer to figure 44.

Note: If there is a Disc playing in the MVP861 press the STOP Push-button twice before pressing the SETUP Push-button.

2. Use the Down directional Push-button to select PASSWORD followed by the pressing the SELECT Push-button twice. Refer to figures 50 and 51 on page 36.

Notes: The title of the icon button-bar will change color from yellow (the cursor color) to green indicating the selected item.

3.Using the Numeric Push-buttons on the Remote Con- trol enter the current password. Refer to figure 52.

4.Again, using the NUMERIC Push-buttons on the Re- mote Control enter the new password to confirm it. Re- fer to figures 53 and 54.

5.Press the SELECT Push-button.

6. Return to the Rating Menu by pressing the Up direc- tional Push-button.

7.Next continue to the OTHER SETUP Menu. If no other changes are to be made in Setup Mode at this

time, exit by pressing the Down directional Push- button to select the EXIT SETUP menu choice fol- lowed by the SELECT Push-button and the MVP861 will return to normal operation.

Note: The SETUP Push-button may be also pressed to exit the setup mode.
