Windows 98SE Personal Computer and USB Connections

To make a USB connection with the Copyboard and a personal computer with Windows 98SE, please set up the driver according to the following procedure.

Driver Setup (Windows 98SE)

Note:

Do not connect the Copyboard with the personal computer until Step .

When using Windows Me, 2000, or XP, driver setup is not required. Make a USB connection with the Copyboard. The Windows standard driver will be installed automatically.

This driver does not support Windows 95 or NT, 2000 Server or Server 2003.

Installation preparation

Please close application software that is running on the personal computer. Failure to close the applications may result in installation problems.

Load the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of the personal computer.

The menu screen will appear automatically.

If the menu screen does not appear automatically, open the CD-ROM and double click on "autorun.exe".

Click the [M-5 USB Driver]

The installer will start up. Follow the messages of the screen and perform the installation.

Note: When the copyboard is connected before setup, a screen requesting the driver will appear. Click "Cancel" and disconnect the power cable of the unit.

Under these circumstances, restart the personal computer following driver setup.

Making connections with the Copyboard

Connect the USB connector of the Copyboard with that of the personal computer using a USB cable, then plug the power cable into the power outlet.

• When connection is first made with the Copyboard, the "New hardware addition wizard" screen will appear. Please follow the instructions on the screen.

• Please check that the Copyboard is operating properly.
