Securing Infant Car Seat Without Base:

WARNING DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY can occur

•Not all vehicle seat belts can be used with a car seat. Read vehicle owner’s manual and “Vehicle Seat Belts” section in this manual.

Installation with Lap Belt Only:

1Refer to vehicle owner’s manual to identify the seating locations which can be used with a car seat. Check for specific instructions for car seat use.

2After selecting a seating location, if vehicle seat back is adjustable, adjust vehicle seat

back into most upright position.

Place car seat rear-facing on vehicle seat.

Thread vehicle lap belt through vehicle lap belt guides on car seat (fig. a) and buckle
vehicle belt. Be sure vehicle lap belt is not twisted.	(fig. a)
