Belts Forward of Seat Bight
Vehicle seat belts located forward of seat bight (fig. a & b) may not securely hold car seat. Check vehicle owner’s manual or see vehicle dealer for car seat installation requirements.
• If seating position is approved for use with car seat, install car seat and check for secure installation by pulling car seat front to back. If car seat slides forward or vehicle seat belt does not stay tight, DO NOT use these seat belts.

Lap Belts - Manually Adjustable
Manually adjustable lap belts (fig. c) normally will hold a car seat tightly. However, in some cases, the locking latch plate on some seat belts may slip and loosen if positioned at a certain angle. If this happens, flip latch plate over (fig. c) and
