Displays in Viewfinder (continued)

Status Indicators

The following status displays appear to let you know what the camcorder is doing.

REC appears during recording.

PAUSE appears during record pause.

STBY appears during record pause.

PLAY appears during playback.

FF appears during fast forward.

REW appears during rewind.

STOP appears when the camcorder is stopped.

TAPE and TAPE END Displays

TAPE appears when you try to record and the cassette’s safety tab has been closed.

TAPE flashes when there is no cassette in the camcorder.

TAPE END flashes when there is approximately five minutes of recording time left on the cassette.

TAPE END appears during playback when the end of the cassette is reached.

Time and Date

Repeatedly press ON/OFF when the TIME/DATE/NORMAL/TITLE switch is in TIME/DATE to display the time and date or date only.

These displays will be recorded on the tape whenever they appear in the viewfinder.

Time Counter With Zero Memory

Repeatedly press OSD when TIME/DATE/NORMAL/TITLE is in NORMAL to display the time counter.

Press Z/MEMORY to turn zero memory on or off. MEM appears below the time counter when zero memory is turned on.

Title

Repeatedly press ON/OFF when TIME/DATE/NORMAL/TITLE is in TITLE to display the title.

The title will be recorded whenever it appears in the viewfinder.

Zoom

The zoom indicator shows the position of the motorized zoom lens. T indicates telephoto and W indicates wide angle.
