8 - personalise your phone

If you activate call screening, your phone will only ring if the caller is one of the people in your phonebook. If not, the number of the caller will merely appear on the display.

1Press Menu, select Setup and then select Audio.

2Scroll to Call screening and press

Select.

3Choose the groups or phonebook that you want to be alerted for and press Select.

record a voice memo to be reminded of events by your own voice

You can make a voice or sound recording using your dictating machine, which you can then use as your ringing tone, or to sound when an alarm goes off.

1Press Menu and scroll to Organiser. Press Select.

2Scroll to Dictating mac and press

Select.

3<New record> will be highlighted. Press

Select, and then press Record to start recording.

4Press Stop when you have finished recording, and then press Save.

5Enter a name for the recording and press OK.

6Set the sound as a ring tone as described on page 8.3.

7Alternatively, select the recording in your Dictating machine and press Play to remind yourself of the note.

personalise your phone menu for ease of use

You can create a list of your personal favourites for quick access to your own menu:

1Press Menu, then press My menu.

2The list is preset with ten options but you can change this whenever you want.

3Highlight the item in the list you wish to change, then press Options.

4Change sett. is highlighted. Press Select.

5Choose a new menu item from the list opposite and press Set.

6Press OK.

change your phone’s appearance to suit you

You can change the appearance of your phone’s display in a number of ways:

1Press Menu and select Setup. Display is highlighted. Press Select.

2A list of display settings will appear. Choose from:

Language

Choose the language that you would like your menu items to appear in.

T9 input

Switch between T9 predictive and standard text input modes.

Wallpaper

Set a picture to show on your phone’s display.

Logo

Set a picture to replace your phone’s logo.

Colour scheme

Change your phone’s colour scheme.
