This receiver provides the DVD MULTI playback mode for reproducing the analog discrete output mode of the DVD player. Before playing back a DVD, refer also to the manual supplied for the DVD player.

The following operations are only possible when the receiver is ready for the main room operations, and are used only for the main room source—DVD MULTI.

Activating the DVD MULTI Playback Mode

Perform the basic settings and adjustments using the Setup and Adjustment Menus first (see pages 33 to 45).

Activating DVD MULTI playback mode automatically recalls the memorized settings and adjustments done on the above menus.

You also need to set the DVD player to the analog discrete output mode.

IMPORTANT:

Check to see if the following before or while using the buttons and controls.

Before you start, remember...

Make sure that you have connected the DVD player to the analog discrete input (5.1 CH reproduction) jacks on the rear (see page 13).

When the SUB ROOM speaker indicator is lit on the display, the DVD MULTI button does not work.
