Step 3 Select Water

Temperature

Press the appropriate button to select the wash and rinse temperatures. Follow the garment care label for best results. Use the chart at the right as a guide.

REMEMBER: In wash water temperatures below 65° F, detergents do not dissolve well or clean well. Care labels define cold water as up to 85° F.

LOAD TYPE

HOT/COLD – White and heavily soiled, color-fast items

WARM/WARM – Delicate or colorfast items

WARM/COLD – Moderately soiled, colored items; most wrinkle free items

COLD/COLD – Brightly colored, lightly soiled items; washable woolens

Customized Cycle

Press the appropriate button(s) to select one or more options.

USE

SUPER WASH – Can be used with any wash cycle to clean very heavily soiled items. Provides fast agitation and normal spin throughout all cycles.

EXTRA RINSE – Provides an additional rinse at the end of the cycle to more com- pletely remove laundry additives, suds, per- fume, etc.

AUTO TEMPERATURE CONTROL (select models) – assures a cold water wash of 75°F and warm water wash of 95°F. This option assures detergent will dissolve and provide optimum cleaning results.

CANCEL – Press this button to cancel and reset any of the options.

If Auto Temperature Control (select models) is selected with a warm/warm, warm/cold, or cold/cold water tempera- ture setting, the light will illuminate dur- ing the first fill.

MAX EXTRACT

NORMAL SPIN

PRESOAK: Provides 12 minutes of agi- tation and soak before going into the wash cycle.

SOAK ONLY: Provides three minutes of agitation and then a soak, then three min- utes of agitation before an extended soak. Soak for 30 minutes or less.

MAX EXTRACT: Provides three extra minutes of spin to remove more moisture from loads, such as towels. Can only be used with the WHITES cycle.

NORMAL SPIN: Provides adequate water removal for most loads.
