Troubleshooting - General

Problem	Possible Cause	Prevention/Cure


Burner will not light	Wire(s) and/or electrode	Clean wire(s) and/or electrode with

Burner(s) will not	No gas flow.	Check to see if LP tank is empty. If
match light.		LP tank is not empty, refer to
		"Sudden drop in gas flow".
	Coupling nut and	Turn the coupling nut about one-

	Obstruction of gas flow.	Clear burner tube(s).
	Disengagement of burner to	Reengage burner and valve.

Sudden drop in gas	Out of gas.	Check for gas in LP tank.
flow or low flame.	Excess flow valve tripped.	Turn off knobs, wait 30 seconds
	Excess flow valve tripped.	Turn off knobs, wait 30 seconds
		and light grill.
		If flames are still low, turn off
		knob(s) and LP tank valve.
		Disconnect regulator. Reconnect
		regulator and leak check. Turn on
		LP tank valve, wait 30 seconds and
		then light grill.
