Identification with the chip card

Precondition: You have been assigned a chip card by System Support for logon at other telephones. The optiPoint 500 at which you wish to log on must be equipped with a chip card reader (optiPoint 500 signa- ture module).

Within your own HiPath 4000 or Hicom 300 E/H sys- tem:

Insert the chip card. All lamps light up briefly.

"ID card" and the number of the home station are indi- cated on the display.

At another HiPath 4000 or Hicom 300 E/H system in the integrated network:

Insert the chip card.

Enter the node code for your own HiPath 4000 or Hi- com 300 E/H system (check with System Support).

Enter your own number and press the pound key.

Deactivating identification at the other telephone

If you logged on with a PIN:

Press the key. The lamp lights up.

Enter the service code.

Select and confirm.

Select and confirm.

Identification is deactivated automatically if the other telephone is not used for several minutes.

If you logged on with a chip card:

Remove the chip card when the telephone is in the idle state.
