3–Way Conferencing

NOTE: On the Nortel DMS-100®and Siemens EWSD® switches, the Conf key is displayed as Conf/Tr. On the Lucent Technologies 5ESS® switch it is displayed as Conf and Trans keys.

Conferencing Two Outgoing Calls

1.Place the first call.

2.Press the Conf or the Conf/Tr softkey, the phone automatically provides dial tone from another Call Appearance.

This display is shown after the second call is ringing.

3.Dial the number of the second party.

4.Press the Join key to complete the conference.

NOTE: You may press the Join key after the second party answers or while it is ringing.

The Conf key will always change to AdNext. If you only subscribe to 3-Way Conferencing, you cannot add any more to the conference.

NOTE: When you attempt to join a 4th party, you will receive a “Service Option Violated” message.

Conferencing an Incoming Call to an Outgoing Call

1.Answer the incoming call.

2.Press Conf and proceed as explained above.
