Manual Switch Downloading

Switch parameters may be downloaded from the switch to the Teleset over the ISDN line. A download can be requested up to three times in a five-minute period. To download proceed as follows:

1.Press MENU, MORE, MORE, Config, MORE, MORE, and ReqParam/RunSPM (depending on the switch) in order. A message indicates a successful or failed download. If the switch is in the Auto-SPID/Auto-Switch mode, the download is automatic upon initialization. If successful, the remainder of the setup parameters need not be entered. These setup characteristics include conference, drop, transfer and Call Appearances. You must enter these parameters manually if the download fails. Press MENU to return to the idle (power-up) screen.

NOTE: If the Teleset detects a DMS-100®or the switch is programmed as a DMS-100®, the ReqParam softkey will be displayed as RunSPM.

NOTE: If the Teleset has not linked with the switch, the display will show “Layer 3 Not Initialized”, “Data Link Down” or “Line Not Ready”.

NOTE: Parameter Downloading applies to SPID 1 only.
