Answering Calls

When a call is received, the unit rings and “Incoming call” is displayed.

Base Unit

1Lift the handset or press [DIGITAL SP-PHONE].

2Talk into the handset or MIC (microphone).

3To hang up, place the handset on the cradle or press [DIGITAL SP-PHONE].

Handset

1Press [ ] or [ ].

•You can also answer a call by pressing any button except

[], [], [], [], [OFF] or the soft key ( PANIC ).

2To hang up, press [OFF] or place the cordless handset on the charger.

Auto Talk

If you set the Auto Talk feature to ON (p. 23), you can answer a call by simply lifting the cordless handset off the charger without pressing [ ] or [ ].

•To transfer the call to another person, see page 48.

•To transfer the call to the Answering System to allow the caller to leave a message, see page 60.

•When the ringer volume is set to OFF, the unit will not ring (p. 21).
