Special instructions for programmable settings

Night mode

Night mode allows you to select a span of time during which the handset will not ring for outside calls. This feature is useful for instances when you do not want to be disturbed, for example, while sleeping. Night mode can be set for each handset.

Important:

L Set the date and time beforehand (page 15).

L We recommend turning the base unit ringer off (page 18) and call screening off (page 31) in addition to turning the night mode on. (KX-TG4391/ KX-TG4392)

L If you have set the alarm, the alarm sounds even if the night mode is turned on.

Setting the start and end time

2Enter the desired hour and minute you wish to start this feature.

3{AM/PM}: Select AMor PM. i {V}

4Enter the desired hour and minute you wish to end this feature.

5{AM/PM}: Select AMor PM.

6{Save} i{OFF}

Note:

LTo correct a digit, press {^}, {V}, {<}, or {>} to move the cursor to the digit,

then make the correction.

Turning night mode on/off

Note:

L When the night mode is turned on, Night modeis displayed during the selected period.

Alarm

You can set one of 2 different alarm options (once or daily) at a time for each handset. An alarm sounds at the set time for 1 minute.

You can choose an alarm sound from 3 tones and 4 melodies.

Important:

L Set the date and time beforehand (page 15).
