Testing the System

You can check the system for proper operation. Before testing the system, you must disarm the security mode and close all protected windows, doors, etc.

Refer to “Testing the System (To Be Conducted Weekly)” on pages 39 to 40 in the 3000EN Security Systems User’s Guide.

Make sure all perimeter doors and windows are closed and READY is displayed.

Base Unit

1Press [ADT].

2	Scroll to “TEST” by pressing [d] or [B], then
		gTEST
	press [g].
3	Enter your security code.
		ENTER CODE
	• If you entered the wrong security code, the phone	----

will go back to the previous display. Try again from step 2.

4Press [0].

•“1=Dial” is intended for the installer.

•To remind you that the system is in the test mode, a beep sounds at regular intervals.

•When the door or window is closed, the display clears.

Example

1=Dial, 0=Walk

Test In Progress g=Abort Test

5Open each protected door or window, listen to the chime and confirm the zone number/zone description on the display.

6 To exit the Test mode, press [g] while
		ENTER CODE	----
“g	” is displayed, then enter your
=Abort Test
security code.

7Press [STOP] to go to the standby mode.

Handset : Press the soft key ( ADT ), and follow steps 2 to 6 above, using the cordless handset. Press [OFF] to go to the standby mode.
