Customizing Your Phone

Changing Advisory Tones

Advisory tones warn you that something is about to happen or is happening. There are three advisory tones you can enable or disable individually. By default all advisory tones are enabled.

To set Advisory Tones on the handset do the following.

1.In Idle mode, press OK z to display the Main Menu.

2.Select Settings and press OK z.

3.Select Audio settings, and press OK z.

4.Select Advisory tones, and press OK z.

5.Select the type of tone you want to enable or disable by pressing the OK z key. For available sounds, see the table below.

Advisory Tone

Meaning

 

 

Battery Alert

The batteries must be recharged.

 

 

Range Tone

The handset is out of range of the gateway.

 

 

Confirmation

You have saved or deleted an entry, or made a selection.

 

 

Enabling/Disabling Silent Mode

You can enable or disable a silent mode on the phone. When disabled, all ringer melodies, tones, confirmation sounds, and advisory tones are disabled. To enable/ disable silent mode:

1.In Idle mode, press OK z to display the Main Menu.

2.Select Settings and press OK z.

3.Select Audio settings, and press OK z.

4.Select Silence, and press OK z.

5.Select Silent on to disable all sounds on the phone. Select Silent off to hear all sounds as you use the phone.

6.Press OK z to save the setting.

Note: You can also enable or disable the silent mode from the idle screen by pressing the “#” key, and pressing the Silence on softkey or Silence off softkey as required.

Setting Your Phone to Vibrate

You can select from different vibrator modes which vibrates the phone with an incoming call. You can choose between vibrating only, vibrating and then ringing, and vibrating as well as ringing.

To set your phone to vibrate do the following.

1.In Idle mode, press OK z to display the Main Menu.

2.Select Settings and press OK z.

3.Select Audio settings, and press OK z.

4.Select Vibrator Mode, and press OK z.
