Adjust the volume in such a way that the 0 dB display of the level meter is not exceeded when the loudest sound is supplied.

If the CD input is selected for mixed recording, the pitch con- trols may be used to adjust the speed of CD playback for mixing and recording purposes. (See page 15.)

If the microphone level is set too high, you may experience a loud howling sound from your speakers. If this occurs, turn down the volume of the microphone by turning down the vol- ume of the amp/receiver powering the speakers you are using to monitor the sound.

When you have finished adjusting the recording level and the mix balance, set the sources back to the point where you want to start recording at.

5 Start playback of the sources to be recorded.

If the CD1 button is pressed when mixing with a CD and recording the result, the tracks are recorded in the following sequence: CD1 = CD2 = CD3

6 Press the CDR CONTROL 3 button to start the recording.

When recording is complete

Press the CDR CONTROL 7 (stop) button. The 3 indicator flashes and operation stops.
