Erasing all the tracks (DISC ERASE function)
The DISC ERASE function clears all of the data recorded on a CD- RW.
Caution
If the disc is damaged or there is disc related trouble, this function may not be possible.

1 Load the unfinalized
set the function to CDR.
• The number of tracks and play time are displayed.
2 When the unit is in the stop mode, press the MENU button on the main unit (or the DISPLAY/ MENU button on the remote control while holding down the SHIFT button).
3 Turn the MULTI JOG dial or press the 4/¢ button on the remote control until “DISC ERASE” appears in the display.
4 Press the SET button.
•“ERASE DISC?” appears in the display.
•Press the CANCEL button if you do not wish to perform this procedure.
5 Press the SET button.
•This procedure takes about one and a half minutes to perform. During the procedure, the length of the level meter is used to indicate approximately how much time is remaining until disc erasure is complete. When complete, the normal display is returned to.
