Timer Operations

Timer Play (wake-up play)

Before proceeding with timer programming, make sure that the present time has been set correctly. (See page 33.)

Example: Setting the unit to turn on and play a CD from 7:15 AM to 8:15 AM.

1 Turn on the power.

The selected function (“CD” at the time of purchase) is dis- played.

2 Press CLOCK/TIMER repeatedly to select the timer mode (DAILY TIMER or ONCE TIMER).

The mode changes each time this button is pressed.

Function display

DAILY TIMER : The timer is activated every day.

ONCE TIMER : The timer is activated only once.

Present Time (“hour” display flashes.)

3 Press the SET button.

SET

The start time flashes.

4 Turn the MULTI JOG dial to set the hour display to “AM 7”, and press SET.

The hour display stops flashing and the minute display starts to flash.

1. Turn the MULTI JOG until

“AM 7:00” is displayed.

 

7:00” is then displayed.

5 Turn the MULTI JOG dial to change the minute display to “15”, and then press the SET button.

• The hour display of the timer stop time starts to flash.

“AM 7:15” is displayed.

 

AM 12:00” is then displayed.

The end time flashes.

6 Turn the MULTI JOG dial to set the hour display to “8”, and press SET.

The hour display stops flashing and the minute display starts to flash.

“PLAY” is then displayed.

When “Play” is displayed, it is necessary to set the Timer Play or Timer Recording function.

Note

If the CANCEL button is pressed while setting the “minute” display, the flashing “hour” display is restored. This function comes in handy for correcting the “hour” display.
