SYSTEM/GROUP/CHANNEL SELECTION

System Selection

Several methods can be used to select a new system.

METHOD 1: From knob: If system selection is programmed to the SYSTEM/ GROUP/CHANNEL knob, select a system by turning the SYSTEM/ GROUP/CHANNEL knob to the desired system number position (1- 16). The display registers the new system name on line one.

NOTE: The radio is supplied with a mechanical stop which can, if desired, limit the number of positions accessed. If the knob will not access all positions, do not force it.

METHOD 2: From keypad: If system selection is programmed as the primary function of <and >, select a system by

pressing <, or > to scroll

through the system list. The display registers the new system name on line one.

METHOD 3: Direct Access: Press 1to enter the

system select mode. Press the numeric key which is mapped to the desired system. Press M. The radio

will move to the selected system.
