4 Provisioning storage
The Storage Module for vCenter supports storage provisioning for P6000 EVA, P2000 G3 MSA, and P4000 arrays. You can perform storage provisioning operations such as adding a new datastore, deleting or expanding an existing datastore, creating new VMs, or cloning existing VMs.
For P6000 EVA, provisioning operations are supported for
To perform the tasks in this chapter, you must:
•Use an HP array that supports provisioning.
•Use the Storage Administrator Portal to set the Full Access permission for the storage pools you want to use. For more information, see “About the Storage Administrator Portal” (page 10).
•Disable the browser
•Use a cluster with configured hosts when performing provisioning operations on a cluster.

Accessing the storage tools
To start a storage provisioning task, you can
To access the storage tools:
1.Select a host, cluster, datastore, VM, or VM template in the inventory tree.
2.Click the HP Insight Software tab.
3.Click Storage Tools in the HP Management pane.
The Storage Tools page lists all of the storage tools available for the selected host, cluster, datastore, VM, or VM template.
Customizing the location of virtual disks on a P6000 EVA array
Before performing provisioning operations on P6000 EVA arrays, you might want to change your virtual disk location.
When you create a datastore on a P6000 EVA array using the Storage Module for vCenter, by default, the associated virtual disks are created at the root level of the Virtual Disks folder. You can customize the location of the virtual disks by modifying the configuration.xml file, which is located in the following directory (if the default installation directory was used):
•x64 systems: C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Insight Control Storage Module for vCenter\Storage Integration\config
