print a self-test report

If you are experiencing problems with printing, print a Self-Test Report before you replace the print cartridges.

1Press and hold down Cancel.

2Press Start Copy, Color.

The HP psc prints a Self-Test Report, which might indicate the source of any problems you might be having.

Black and tri-color cartridges installed

Color blocks

Tri-color and photo cartridge installed

3Check the color blocks for streaking or white lines.

Missing color blocks might indicate that the tri-color print cartridge is out of ink. You might need to clean or replace your print cartridges.

Streaks might indicate clogged nozzles or dirty contacts. You might need to clean the print cartridges. Do QRW clean with alcohol.
