G. Air Shutter Setting

Air shutter settings may be adjusted by a qualified install- er at the time of installation. The air shutter is set at the factory for minimum vertical vent run. Adjust air shutter for longer vertical runs. See Figure 14.3.

Loosen the 1/4 in. (6 mm) screw.

Twist shutter to adjust

Shutter may be open for longer horizontal vent runs.

Do not close the air shutter more than 16 mm for NG or 80 mm for LP. Note: the air shutter should be fully open when using butane.

Tighten the screw.

NOTICE: If the flames appear to be orange, open the air shutter to prevent residue buildup on the glass.

H. Media Options

Unit ships without a media option. Available approved media options are:

I. Verify Performance of Appliance

1.Verify pilot sparks, pilot lights, pilot stops sparking, and the main burner turns “ON” by turning wall control “ON”.

2.Turn fireplace “OFF”. Verify that the both the pilot and burner turn “OFF”.

3.Repeat Step 1 above.

4.With the burner “ON” remove the green wire connected to the gas valve after the second audible “beep” from the control module is heard. The main burner should shut off. Turn appliance “OFF”.

5.Reattach the green wire to the valve and turn “ON” the fireplace. The main burner should light after the second audible “beep” from the control module is heard.

6.With the burner “ON” remove orange wire both the main burner and pilot should go out.

7.Turn fireplace “OFF” and reattach orange wire to the valve.

8.Repeat steps 1 & 2 to ensure proper functionality of appliance.
