otherwise the needle may hit the needle plate or presser foot and could possibly break.

Turn off the power switch. Pull up the additional spool pin. Place a piece of felt on the additional s 3ool pin. Make sure you separate the two threads by placing one thread in each needle bar thread guide@.

Change the needle to a twin needle _ . Thread each needle from front to back.

When you want to shift the fabric to change the sewing direction, you must first raise the needle out of the fabric.
