embroidery unit and press .

When an animation is displayed on the screen, the message above will be displayed if you touch the screen with your finger.

XThe carriage moves to its initial position.

CAUTION

Do not put your hands or other objects near the carriage. It may cause injury.

Note

zIf the machine is initialized with hands or objects near the carriage, the screen may return to the initial display. After removing whatever is near the carriage, turn the power on again.

XThe screen for selecting the embroidery pattern type is displayed.

Removing the embroidery unit

Make sure that the machine is completely stopped and follow the instructions below.

aRemove the embroidery frame.

For details on removing the embroidery frame, refer to “Removing the embroidery frame” (page 48).

bPress , and then press .

XThe embroidery carriage moves into a position where it can be stored.

cTurn off the machine.

For details, refer to “Turning off the machine” (page 19).

CAUTION

Always turn off the machine before removing the embroidery unit.

It may cause malfunctions if removed when the machine is turned on.
