INSTALLATION
–Always place the appliance on a stable, horizontal sur- face. This surface should neither be hot nor near a heat source. The surface must be dry. Keep the appliance and cord out of the reach of children.
–Check that the voltage indicated on the rating label of the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage. (Use a residual current device (RCD) – please contact a qualified electrician for advice.) The wall outlet must be easily acces- sible while the appliance is in use in case of emergency.
–If the plug provided with the appliance is incompatible with the wall outlet, have it changed by a qualified electrician.
For US and Canada Customers only: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in appo- larized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

BEFORE USING THE BLENDER
Clean the blender before using it for the first time. See CARE AND CLEANING section.
HOW TO USE YOUR BLENDER
–You can store the excess power cord in the cord retainer
(9) on the bottom of the motor base.
–Place the blender jar (3) onto the motor base (4). It must stand sturdily on the motor base.
–Insert the main plug into an grounded electrical outlet.
