2-12. VACUUM SWITCHThis switch senses the airflow from the induction blower. If

REPLACEMENT the airflow is reduced below a set amount, the switch opens and the I/O board cuts power to the gas control valve, which shuts the pilot flame off.

1. Remove electrical power supplied to the unit.

 

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, move the

 

power switch to OFF and disconnect main circuit

breaker, or unplug cord at wall receptacle.

Remove the control panel.

3.

Remove the 2 screws securing the switch to the heat shield.

Remove the air hose from the air switch. Figure 2-30.

5.

Label and remove wires from air switch. Figure 2-31.

6.

Install new vacuum switch in reverse order.
