INFORMACIONES IMPORTANTES DE SEGURIDAD.

COMO CONECTAR LA ELECTRICIDAD

Bajo ninguna circunstancia debe cortar o quitar la tercera punta (tierra) de la clavija. Para su seguridad personal, este aparato deberá conectarse debidamente a tierra.

Operación

El cable eléctrico de este aparato está equipado con una clavija de tres puntas (tierra) que enchufa en un contacto estándar de pared de tres salidas (tierra) para reducir al mínimo la posibilidad de daños por un choque eléctrico con este aparato.

Haga que un electricista calificado verifique el enchufe de la pared y el circuito para asegurarse que la salida esté conectada debidamente a tierra.

Donde se disponga sólo de un contacto de pared con salida para dos puntas, es su responsabilidad personal y su obligación reemplazarlo por un contacto adecuado para tres puntas con conexión a tierra.

El refrigerador deberá conectarse siempre en su propio contacto eléctrico individual que tenga un voltaje que vaya de acuerdo con la tabla de clasificación.

Esto garantiza la mejor ejecución y evita la sobrecarga del circuito eléctrico de la casa y los daños a causa del sobrecalentamiento de los cables.

Nunca desconecte el refrigerador jalando el cable. Tome siempre firmemente la clavija y sáquela del contacto sin doblarla.

Repare o reemplace inmediatamente todos los cables eléctricos de servicio que se hayan desgastado o dañado en alguna otra forma. No utilice cables que muestren roturas o daños por abrasión a lo largo de éste ni en la clavija o en alguno de sus extremos.

Al alejar su refrigerador de la pared, cuide que no pase sobre el cable o lo dañe.

Instalación

USO DE LOS ADAPTADORES (No se permite usar enchufes adaptadores en Canadá)

Debido a los accidentes potenciales relacionados con la seguridad bajo determinadas circunstancias, recomendamos estrictamente no utilizar un adaptador para clavija.

Solucionar problemas

Sin embargo, si se decidiera usar un adaptador donde los códigos locales lo permitan, es necesario hacer una conexión temporal a un contacto de pared para dos puntas debidamente conectado a tierra utilizando un adaptador UL, mismo que puede adquirirse en comercios locales especializados.

La punta más larga del adaptador se deberá alinear con la entrada larga del contacto con el fin de tener la polaridad adecuada en la conexión de la clavija.

Al desconectar el cable del adaptador, deténgalo siempre con una mano tirando a la vez el cable eléctrico con la otra mano. De no hacerlo puede causar que el adaptador se rompiera después de mucho uso.

Si se rompiera la terminal a tierra del adaptador, NO USE el aparato hasta que se haya reestablecido la conexión a tierra de manera adecuada.

La conexión de la terminal de tierra del adaptador a la salida del contacto de pared no conecta el aparato a tierra, a no ser que el tornillo de la tapa sea de metal y no esté aislado y que el contacto de la pared esté conectado a tierra a través del cableado de la casa. Un electricista calificado deberá revisar el circuito para asegurarse de que el contacto esté debidamente conectado a tierra.
