CH ARCOAL FILTER

The ch arcoal f ilte r should be inspected fo r

con taminan t's on a regular basis. R eplace ment mus t be made at a m ini mum of t hree mo nth i ntervals — more often if he avy contam inant's ar e visib le or if the filter n o longer controls odors.

To remove t he fil ter, pull and slide ou t whi le holding the bot tom hou sing. When rep lacin g the fi lter, make certa in the air flo w a rrow( s) poin t t oward the

hood fan, and th at the filte r i s rep laced in the three -si ded m eta l fra me prov ided wi th the hoo d.

Cleaning frequency shou ld be based on oven us age with a maximum of two weeks bet wee n cleaning if the oven is used for non-grease laden produ cts or steam applications only. Grease laden produc ts such as red mea t, poultry, etc. , require clean ing frequ enc y of at least once a week. Remo ve the gr ease f ilt er b y pulling it str aight out of the housin g. Pl ace th e filter in the dishwasher or wash separately by placin g in hot, soapy water until all grease and part icles have bee n remov ed. Rinse thoroughly. Allow t he f ilter to air dry befo re reinst alling.

Clean the interior meta l hou sing (plenu m) with a damp cloth and any good com mercial deter gen t or grease sol vent at the recom mended strengt h. Avoid the use of abra sive cleaning com pounds, ch loride based cleaners , or cleaner s cont ain ing qu atern ary salts. Use a deg reasing agent if neces sary.

To replace the gre ase filter, the air fl ow arr ow on the filter casin g shoul d be poi nting toward the hoo d fan.
