TROUBLESHOOTING MODEL EZ-3 & EZ-5 COUNTERTOP STEAMERS

Unit Using Excessive Amount of Water and/or Excessive Steam Coming from Vent Tube

Unit using excessive amount of water and/or excessive steam coming from vent tube behind the unit.

DISCONNECT POWER

AT CIRCUIT BREAKER

Remove control panel,

but leave plug connected.

Disconnect wire C23 from terminal block position 3 (EZ-3) or wire C98 from controller (EZ-5), reconnect power, turn unit on, wait 12 minutes.

Yes Excessive steam? No

DISCONNECT POWER AT	DISCONNECT POWER AT
CIRCUIT BREAKER	CIRCUIT BREAKER
Check time delay relay (EZ-3	Check float switch and float tube.
only, see Figure 14 on page 31)	Replace float switch and clean
or controller (EZ-5 only, see	float tube as necessary
Figure 15 on page 32). Replace	(see Figure 12 on page 29).
if necessary
Reconnect power.
Wait 12 minutes.

Yes Excessive steam? No

Check contactor and	Reinstall control panel,
replace as necessary	reconnect power.

(see Figure 8 on page 25).
