Serial connect Click the “serial connect status” link to launch the Device Server serial connection status submenu status submenu. See Figure 24.

This menu provides instant information about serial port connectivity. In this submenu, you can view a current connection status instance; also, clear the information on the screen by clicking the CLEAR button. A description of each menu item is shown below.

Connect Status

Server or client.

 

Peer IP Address

IP of the remote PC that is accessing the device

 

 

attached to the Device Server’s serial port.

 

Dest/Srce Port Number

Shows the destination and source port numbers—

 

 

source port number will be as configured.

 

Byte Counts From UART

Displays the number of bytes transmitted from the

 

 

serial device.

 

Byte Counts to Network

Displays the number of bytes received on the TCP/IP

 

 

network.

 

Byte Counts From Network

Displays the number of bytes transmitted from the

 

 

TCP/IP network.

 

Byte Counts to UART

Displays the number of bytes received by the serial

 

 

device.
