2, Removeany protectivepackagingandplastictie straps,

REMOVING THE CHUTE HOLDER

The chuteholdermustbe removedand discardedbeforeoperating

the mower,

1, Locatethe chuteholderwhichsecuresthe dischargechutein a verticalposition,Figure1,

2, Pullchutebacktowardsthe engine,Whileholdingthe chutewith onehand,removethe chuteholderusingyourotherhand,

3, Carefullylowerthe chuteagainstthe deckanddiscardthe chute holder,

1, Removelowerstar knobsandcarriagescrewsfromlowerhandle, Figure2,

2, Pivotupperhandleintooperatingposition,Figure3, Be careful notto bendor kinkthe canes whenpivotingthe handle,
