4.In the next window, “Dial Configuration,” enter the user name and pass- word used to connect to the ISP in the appropriate text boxes. Then, enter the main telephone number used to dial up to the ISP in the “#1 Number To Dial” text box (and, if applicable, a secondary number in the “#2 Number To Dial” text box).
The additional options in this screen do not have to be configured at this time to connect the Modem to the ISP.
DOD & Disconnect After Idle…
Activate this option (by clicking in the check box) to automatically sever the Internet connection after a certain amount of idle time. Enter the number of idle time minutes (minimum 2 minutes) before disconnection occurs in the text box before “Minutes.”
Dial X To Reach an Outside Line
Activate this option (by clicking in the check box) if the Modem is connected to a telephone system that requires a number to be dialed before connecting to an outside line. Enter the outside line number in the text box after “Dial.”
