Adaptec SBC-596, SBC-599 manual

Dear Customer:

We are notifying you that SBC-596/599 has some compatibility issues with some Seagate hard disk drives.

Owing to some limitations with the Seagate controller’s specifica- tions, we found the Intel 430TX chipset cannot work with some Seagate hard disk drives. Seagate promises to solve this issue in the new controller. Please check with Seagate for further informa- tion. We recommend users who plan to use the following Seagate hard disk drives models with the SBC-596/599 check with Seagate regarding the availability of a new controller:

ST31720A	1.7 GB
ST32531AC	2.5 GB
ST33240AC	3.2 GB
