Soft Front Panel Operation
Click Mod 
and then select PM 
as shown in Figure 2- 20. To output the PM waveform, configure the settings for the carrier frequency, output amplitude, offset voltage, modulating frequency, phase deviation, and the desired waveform.

Remote Interface Operation
PM:STATe {0OFF1ON}
Carrier Waveform
The PM carrier waveform consists of Sine, Square, Ramp, Triangle, or Arbitrary waveform. The default waveform is Sine wave. You cannot use Pulse or DC as the carrier waveform.
Soft Front Panel Operation
For Arbitrary waveforms, click Arb 
at the top panel as shown in Figure 2- 2 and select the desired waveform
from the drop down list
