Setting operation of VCR when the tape reaches its end during recording or playback (TAPE END)

The VCR’s function when the tape reaches its end during recording is as follows.

STOP : The tape stops, the indication “End” appears on the fluorescent display and “TAPE END” on screen. When CALL OUT is set to WRNG•TAPE END, a call signal is output from

WRNG•REMAIN : The buzzer sounds when there is any malfunction in the VCR or the tape has approximately 9 minutes (at 6H mode) left.

OFF

: The buzzer does not sound.

Note

To stop the buzzer:

Press MENU button once. If <MAIN MENU> appears, press MENU button again to exit the menu. When the VCR is locked, press LOCK button to unlock the VCR, then the buzzer stops.

WRNG•TAPE END and a tape reaches its end, a call signal is output for 2 seconds from the CALL OUT terminal.

ALARM•PROT (alarm protection) :

If any alarm recordings are present on the tape and the tape stops, the indication “End” appears on the fluorescent display and “TAPE END” on screen. When CALL OUT is set to WRNG•TAPE END, a call signal is output from the CALL OUT terminal. If there is no alarm recording, the VCR rewinds the tape to the beginning and resumes the recording.

Go to page 8 for the VCR’s function when the tape reaches its end during playback.

Setting Quasi-V-sync on or off (QUASI V-SYNC)

ON : Quasi-V-sync. signal is inserted to the video output

signal in the special effects playback ( page 16) or normal playback in L18H-128H or 0H mode.

OFF : Quasi-V-sync. signal is not inserted.

Some multiplexers may require QUASI V-SYNC to be OFF in order to work properly.
