Select Region
Select Region tells you how many bytes you currently have selected. In the example screen, the selected area is bytes.
If you’ve selected the entire window (by choosing Select All

Resolution
Resolution is a ratio of how many sound samples per screen
pixel are being displayed. 1:1 means that every horizontal pixel in the sound graph represents one sound sample. Resolution will vary from file to file and changes (by a factor of 2 or .5) as you use the Zoom In/Zoom Out options under the View menu.
