9-4 Designating the Receiver asPrimary or Secondary
Each mobile receiver/controller must be designated
as either a primary or a secondary receiver.

Primary Receiver

Supplies power to the antenna
Allows you to control the antenna
Can receive local channels (within your DMA)
Must be connected directly to the antenna, either
via a single coax cable or a splitter’s “Primary”
jack (see Appendix A for wiring diagrams)
Only one allowed per system

Secondary Receiver

Does not power or control the antenna
Simply receives a TV signal from the antenna
A system may have one, none, or multiple
secondary receivers
Follow the steps below to designate the receiver as a
primary or secondary receiver.
1. Press the MENU button to access the main menu.
2. Highlight the System Setup tab and press
SELECT.
3. Highlight the Antenna tab.
4. Highlight the Modify Settings button and press
SELECT.
