10.4 High Altitude Mode
Use this function to control the projector's coo ling fan. You can set it to Off or On. The default set ting is Off.
Under normal circumstances, the projec tor will operate normally with this funct ion set to Off. By default, the projector
will detect the temperature of the surroundin g environment to regulate the speed of the cooling fan. W hen the ambient
temperature rises, fan speed will increase (g enerates louder noise) to make sure the heat inside the projec tor gets discharged
and keep the projector working normally.
However, if you were to operate the projector in environment of excessive heat or in areas of hi gh altitude, the projector may
automatically shut down. When this happens, yo u can enable this function by setting it to On to fo rce the cooling fan to work
at a higher speed to regulate the temperature inside the p rojector.
• High altitude region refers to area with elevation over 1500 meters (4900 feet).
• When operating in normal altitude enviro nments, the projector will adjust the cool ing fan according to the temperature of
the working environment. When the temperat ure rises above 30C, the projector will automatic ally increase fan speed.
• According to the product specification, the max imum operating altitude for the projecto r is at 3000m@25C.This means that
you should not be operating the projector in hi gh altitudes when the working environm ent is over 25C.
(Due to the air thinning substantially at high alt itudes, the result of cooling achieved by the cooling f an is significantly
reduced compared to operation on level ground. Wit h low atmospheric pressure and high operating tem perature, the
cooling fan will not be able to disperse the heat ade quately)
10.5 Power
This function will not be available if you have set t he lamp to Eco or Normal modes, refer to page 52: Mode ,you can only
adjust this setting when the lamp has been s et to ”Power”. You can specify the lamp power in the range of 85% ~ 100%.
Generally speaking, the lower the power, the dimmer th e image will be but the lamp will have longer lifec ycle. In contrast,
the higher the power, the brighter the image will be at the cost of s horter lamp lifecycle.
10.6 Lamp1 Status
This function is limited to display purpose s to inform the user of Lamp1 status (On or Off).
10.7 Lamp2 Status
This function is limited to display purpose s to inform the user of Lamp2 status (On or Off).
10.8 Lamp1 Run Time
This function is limited to display purpose s to inform the user of Lamp1's total run time.
10.9 Lamp2 Run Time
This function is limited to display purpose s to inform the user of Lamp2's total run time.
10.10 Lamp Quality
It is suggested that the projector should stay a r untime at least 30 minutes or longer to ensure the lamp q uality.
