Toner cartridges

Order No. For the Order No. of toner cartridges, See Replacing consumable items on page 89.

A new standard toner cartridge can print approximately 2,500 pages (black) or approximately 1,500 pages (yellow, magenta, cyan) 1.

For approximate life of high capacity toner cartridges, See Replacing consumable items on page 89.

Note

•The toner cartridges that come supplied with the machine are standard toner cartridges.

•The amount of toner used varies according to what is printed on the page and the print density setting.

• If you change the print density setting for lighter or darker printing, the amount of toner used will change.

1A4 or Letter size single-sided pages. Approx. cartridge yield is declared in accordance with ISO/IEC 19798.

The o and n marks indicate status of each toner cartridge, Black (K), Yellow (Y), Magenta (M) and Cyan (C) (where n means blinking). When a mark blinks (n), the indicated toner cartridge is near the end of its life.

Replace Toner message

When the following message appears on the LCD, you need to replace the toner cartridge.

Open the Front C

The second line of the LCD indicates which color you need to replace.

The machine will stop printing until you replace the toner cartridge. A new and unused genuine Brother toner cartridge will reset the Replace Toner mode.
