cAfter sewing 3 to 5 stitches, press Manual background (reverse/ reinforcement stitch button).

Keep Manual background (reverse/reinforcement stitch button) held down until you reach the beginning of the stitching.

aReverse/reinforcement stitch button

XWhile Manual background (reverse/reinforcement stitch button) is held down, reverse stitches are sewn.

dAfter sewing back to the beginning of the stitching, release Manual background (reverse/reinforcement stitch button).

XThe machine stops sewing.

ePress Manual background (start/stop button), or press down on the foot controller.

XThe machine starts sewing in the normal sewing direction

fWhen the end of the stitching is reached, press

Manual background (reverse/reinforcement stitch button).

Keep Manual background (reverse/reinforcement stitch button) held down until 3 to 5 reverse stitches are sewn.

X While Manual background (reverse/reinforcement stitch button) is held down, reverse stitches are sewn.

gAfter 3 to 5 reverse stitches have been sewn, release Manual background (reverse/reinforcement stitch button).

XThe machine stops sewing.

hPress Manual background (start/stop button), or press down on the foot controller.

At this time, if

(start/stop button) is held

down, the machine sews at a slow speed.

X The machine starts sewing in the normal

sewing direction.

 

After sewing to the end of the stitching, the

 

isewing machine stops.

 

Press

(start/stop button) or release foot

 

controller.

Sewing reinforcement stitches

When sewing stitches other than straight or zigzag stitches that are secured with reverse

stitching, pressing Manual background (reverse/reinforcement stitch button) sews reinforcement stitches, 3 to 5

stitches on top of each other.

zWhether reverse stitches or reinforcement stitches are sewn depends on the stitch that is selected. For details, refer to “Stitch Settings” (page 120).
