6DIP Switch Block – a single Dual Inline Package two-position circuit board switch set.

7Dual Inline Header – a chassis connector consisting of two female or male pin rows counting greater than ten.

8Filling Level Sensor –four sensors that detects the relative volume of coins within a given tube. More than one sensor is usually present mounted in the chassis

behind the coin cassette.

9Flash Memory – Electronically programmable memory integrated circuits that can be reused without requiring special erasure procedures.

10Float Level – A specific amount of coinage remaining in a cassette tube when servicing a vending machine.

12MDB – acronym for Multi Drop Bus - a communications protocol standard used by the Vending Machine Industry.

13Membrane Keys – A type of keyboard in which the keys are covered by a transparent, plastic shell. The keys have very little movement, but are pressure sensitive to touch. The primary advantage of a membrane keyboard is that

the covering protects its internal components from dirt, but quick and accurate typing is usually difficult.
